New Dawn

Decades had gone by since anyone had been there. Now humanity was back on the moon, and this time for good.

Ronson and Beakon started the work immediately. They were going to build a self sufficient ecosystem. Everything they needed for the sphere was in the craft. They were ready, a new world was about to be created.

“Look!” Ronson said. Something came flying through space. A kangaroo shaped monster from the direction of Jupiter.

“Oh my… It’s headed for earth!”

The creature landed on the little ball which was the home they had left. Big claws sunk into land and sea. It lifted is hand…

Almost There

The journey had been hard and long, and the bridge finally stood before him. Long, winding. Unsafe. The wond howled around the rocks, and the shadows were already grown long.

He had come too late.

ON the top of the rocks on the other side a dark figure observed him attently. He didn’t care anymore. He had come too far to care, he had gone too far not to act. His house, his family. They were all gone anyway.

He took a step out on the bridge. The bridge he had walked so many times before, so long ago. It was the same bridge, but it sounded different. He walked on…

Black Death

He ran thought the forest, black like a tomb. He stumbled and fell. The village had been empty, dead bodies lying around. The plague had wiped it clean.

He got out of there, as fast as he could. Death was hanging in the air, lurking in the ground. It always does when the sickness had passed by. Evil forces stayed around.

He came out into an opening.

The ground felt moist, almost wet, giving in when he stepped. Something came flowing up from the dirt. Like smoke, yet solid. Darker than the darkness itself….

Army of Giants

“I told you, nothing is unreachable!” Marshal grinned.

“We still have some blocks to climb, though,” John replied catching breath.

“Always so negative,” Marshal laughed. “We’re already…”

One of the blocks moved in a distance. It rose. Two red eyes shone towards them. A stone giant of cubic shapes, just like the blocks around them. Like the one underneath them. Another stood up. Then another. And another.

“We got to get away from here…”

Two red eyes lit on the rock in front. The ground under their feet trembled…

A troll listening to a bondfire story fictionspawn Aak

Sides of the Story

The huge mountain troll had been listening to the story from his cave underneath. He remembered the event like it was yesterday, even though he could not count the winters gone by since then. Disgusting little humans coming around to steal his gold.

“Once upon a time…”, followed by lies, lies and other lies. “The greedy troll”, they said. That smelly little human described as a hero.

That much he could handle. It was the end. The end were that little brat supposedly had fooled him, even slayed him. Him, the King of the mountain, tricked and murdered by a human? He felt his blood boil in his veins of anger…

Not Ours to Give

The figures stood like rocks in front of him, like eternal statues no one had created. Lifeless, until the tallest one spoke.

“You have come far. Now tell us why.”

He swallowed. He had been walking for days, and now he was finally here.

“I’ve come to ask for forgiveness. I’ve killed a man. Or at least, I was the reason he died.”

“We don’t have such thing to give,” the statues said…
