A monster looking in the mirror. Aak fictionspawn

Reflection

He looked down on his reflection. He saw his own face, dry and worn, nothing but a shadow of who he used to be. The forest was dying around him.

There were no birds anymore. No animals, just a fly every once in a while. He had learned how to catch them, but they weren’t much food.

Down by the lake he could see the old pram lying by the shore, sunken into the water. There were no more fish, no more nothing. Poison. It was where it had started, so silently.

He followed the water upstream…

The Magic Carousel

David had been at the fair all night, and it was getting dark. The clouds was gathering in the sky, and people were leaving. Rain might fall.

He walked towards the gate. He was one of the last, and the carnies were taking their stuff down.

He walked around. Something moved inĀ  a distance. A hideous monster came running his way, followed by several others. They made the most most horrible gurgling sounds. He got his space gun out.

They kept coming,

New Dawn

Decades had gone by since anyone had been there. Now humanity was back on the moon, and this time for good.

Ronson and Beakon started the work immediately. They were going to build a self sufficient ecosystem. Everything they needed for the sphere was in the craft. They were ready, a new world was about to be created.

“Look!” Ronson said. Something came flying through space. A kangaroo shaped monster from the direction of Jupiter.

“Oh my… It’s headed for earth!”

The creature landed on the little ball which was the home they had left. Big claws sunk into land and sea. It lifted is hand…
