She swiped though town like sickle in grass,

burning their houses, breaking their bounds.

Never before, never again,

She came to take the cattle away.

The dark, the light, the silver spoons

the wicked. the nice, the buckets of wood

never before, never again,

She came to take the cattle away.

 

She dwelled in lakes, up in the hills,

Under the roots, hidden, lost

The death of your kind, the freedom of hogs

She’d come to take the cattle away

She came at night, all through the day,

waggons on fire, walls to the ground.

-The time has come! She laughed through smoke

Animal shrieks, voices of dread.

Destruction of all you ever held dear

She came to take the cattle away

-There she is! Get her, kill!

Futile resistance. Run, brothers, run!
