Something moved in a distance.
-What is that?
-Looks like some kind of cat… But it’s huge!
-Oh my God! It’s coming this way!
The cat came running down the highway. crushing and throwing cars and trailers on its way.
-Turn! Turn around!
Half way around a trailer came at full speed.
-Aaaaah! Watch out!!!
Full brakes, the trailer slid to one side. It pushed the car, blocking their way back.
Mike tried to open the door. It was stuck. Doris crouched down on the floor.
-We’re gonna die! We’re gonna die!
A clawed paw grabbed the trailer, carried it up in the air. It fell on a car hundreds of feet down the road.
Mike got out. The huge animal ran along the highway, the way they had come. Crushed and burning cars were lying spread along its path.
-I think we need to call the emergency number, he said, staring down the road. They would have to send a lot of people.

I can imagine the emergency operator on the phone not believing anything – “Giant cat, you say, sir? Massive teeth, crushing cars. Mmhmm. Been drinking, have you, sir…?” 🙂
