This reminds me of a twilight zone episode—the one where a woman gets a mysterious box delivered to her door with the instructions that if she presses the red button on top, she will get a generous sum of money. But, also, if she does it, someone she doesn’t know will die.

Yes!! I loved it. The whole episode she sits and paces and chain smokes and goes out of her mind. Then she cracks and pushes the button.
