Venom

Giant snake Aak fictionspawn

“Welcome, stranger…” The giant snake said, hissing a long, threatening sound. “How can I help you?”

“You can’t,” Sir Rodrik shouted. “You’ll be dead before night falls”

The snake looked at him with curious eyes. The little night was armed with a sword, but didn’t seem like much.

“Others have tried before you, little knight,” she hissed with venomous friendliness “I’ll be happy to accompany you in your little quest for fortune.”

The horse winced its head nervously, stepped on the spot. Sir Rodrik forced it ahead.

“Your horse seems wiser than you, little knight.” The snake slid her body a bit forward, down towards the ground. “You should let it go”

“Whoaaaaa!” He got the horse into gallop, charged with his sword high. Soon he would be close enough to strike the snake’s tail, wound it. Then he would go for the kill.

She pulled her head back and struck. The horse ran off. Rodriks legs could be seen shaking in the snake mouth for a moment, before they disappeared down the throat. His sword fell to the ground.

“I told you, little knight. Others have tried.”

She slid her head back up the castle to get a better view. This evening she would go on a little horse hunt.
